Arema (acronym for Arek Malang or Malang Teenagers) is an Indonesian soccer team located in Malang, East Java. The history, Arema FC founded by Ir. Lucky Acub Zaenal on 11 August 1987 with purpose to raise Malang City's nobility by achievement of building their own local football club after Persema (Persatuan Sepakbola Malang). After 16 year with unstable financial condition, then on 29 January 2003, PT. Bentoel Prima Malang Tbk. as the oldest cigarette company in Malang, officialy joined and fully managed Arema FC under Arema Foundation until now. Player legend of Arema Malang FC : Maryanto, Singgih Pitono, Aji Santoso, I Putu Gede, Firman Utina, etc.And, Arema supporters which called themselves Aremania considered as one of the most fanatic supporters across all Indonesian Football Clubs. Except in Malang City it self, they also have Aremania community around Indonesia. In 1999, Aremania has been awarded as The Best Indonesian Football Supporters by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI).
